Hi,  My name is Kizmet.  I am a sweet, spunky, little lovebug of a miniature dog that was rescued from the mean streets of Houston by Melrose Park Neglected Dogs, where someone left me to fend for myself.  I can be a little timid when I first meet new people, but I warm up pretty quickly with a nice tone and a cookie or two.  I LOVE cookies!  I love to play with my foster fur siblings, and I am slowly learning about toys.  There are also these things called cats where I am living now, too.  I'm curious about them, but also a little leary of them, so I just give them a quick sniff and scoot right around them.  I am almost completely potty trained now, as long as you watch for my signals.  I am also really good at being kenneled.  I go right in with a little bribe.  I love to snuggle with my foster humans for naps and I love to do flips in their laps and give them lots of kisses, even the baby human.  My foster mom calls me her "little fruit bat", because I have these giant, velvetty soft, ears.  I love my foster family and they love me very much, but I am still looking for my perfect forever home.  Is that home with you?  Could I pretty please be your little fruit bat for keeps?

More about Kizmet

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip.

Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old.

It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.

NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.

AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation , no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
