Teddy is a cutie for sure. He is very strong willed and will require a firm, experienced hand. He spent 2 months with our certified trainer. Teddy was light heartworm positive, and has been treated and now is negative. He has been in boarding while he has been under treatment.
Older children only and no other dogs. Teddy is randomly selective.
Teddy was found running frantically around a Spring, Texas neighborhood. AARF Houston was called in to help. After scanning for a microchip, and none found, Teddy was placed in boarding while we searched for his owner. Teddy has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations and has been microchipped.
Teddy needs his own family to love him. Teddy needs a secure yard, and a family with older children (over 8) to help him become the boy he is supposed to be.
Puppies that are under 4 months old cannot be adopted outside of our Veterinary Service area. Please call for specific locations.
Children under 8 years old often are not a good match for our puppies and dogs. In order to protect both, your child and our rescued dogs/puppies from harm, we seldom if ever adopt to families with young children.
Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet and greet at one of our adoption events. Thank you for considering a rescue!

It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.
NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.
AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation, no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
